WITH ALL THE FUN OF CAMP

The CYC Internship is a gap year program designed for young leaders aged 18-23. This stage of life is crucial to young people in developing their sense of self and their faith at the same time that they are being encouraged to make significant life choices. The Internship is designed to support participants, encouraging them to build strong foundations for all of life.

The CYC Internship seeks to engage participants in ongoing personal formation, a deeper understanding of their faith, as well as the development of practical leadership and ministry experience. This will occur through teaching, mentoring, small group discussions, practical biblical engagement as well as working alongside our awesome staff team as they make our camps happen.

Through our partnership with Planetshakers College, Interns will complete a one year Diploma of Leadership. In completing the diploma Interns will have read through the entire Bible, prepared and delivered a sermon, completed a courses on theology and practice, grown in their relationship with God, studied and received input from world class leaders which will sit alongside the practical ministry component of camp leadership within CYC.

Applications are NOW OPEN , so check outour 2025 Internship Prospectus and check out the recording of our CYC Internship Open Night by clicking on the link below.

REFLECTIONS FROM PAST INTERNS.

I couldn’t have imagined what I was about to embark on when I decided to apply for this internship. I had been incredibly blessed in so many areas of my life throughout the year. The space I was granted to push myself and be myself in yielded more growth for me than I ever expected: I have grown tremendously in my own self-esteem, in my knowledge of who God is, and in my passion for camp.

I started the internship with the goals of expanding my knowledge of camps and growing in my faith. I did both of these things as well as gaining many more friendships that will last a lifetime, learning how to look more deeply into what the Bible is saying and analyse it theologically. I got to see God move in so many lives as well as my own.

What I really loved about the internship was the incredible community I built with other interns and Camp Directors. It’s really helped me to grow in leadership; to be able to recognise the areas I am strong in, as well as identify and be supported in areas that I want to grow in. I’ve grown closer to God, and been able to explore and practice spiritual disciplines that will continue to nurture and support my faith throughout this year and onwards to next.
