Here at Adanac our leaders are known as Chiefs!
Whether it’s a Cabin Chief, First Aid Chief or you want to be involved in the running of the activities, delivering the Program or one of the various support roles, we would love to hear from you.
Each camp is unique in its influence. This is not because of the activities or programs, but because of the Chiefs!
You can make a massive impact on campers lives from all across Victoria and the Yarra Valley by bringing a unique and diverse quality to leadership.
Inspire, care, disciple, and have fun! It wouldn’t be camp without fun, and although leadership is a big responsibility, that doesn’t rule out a lot of fun and life-long friendships being made.
Being a leader on camp can be challenging, but it is also one of the most rewarding forms of Christian service. You get to spend an entire week investing into young people, sharing your life and faith with them. In many ways it can be a sacrifice, but it is well worthwhile. Many times we are able to witness a dramatic change in Campers between the start and end of the week. You also get to see campers coming back time after time, as they grow and learn about life and God.
Being a Chief is not always easy as you are given a chance to extend and strengthen your Leadership skills. We’re not just looking for “Super” Chiefs so we can run camps. We want to develop and grow people as Chiefs, and strive towards putting together the best Leadership Team available for every camp.
Most of all, as a Chief, you can make a real difference in the life of a young person - giving them hope, friendship and a Christian role model. If this sounds like something you would like to do, we’d love to hear from you.
