About CYC Ministries

CYC Ministries is a non-profit organisation responsible for the running of 30+ camps and events each year including camps for children and youth, Leadership Training & Development and other events and programs. These are run across four campsites in Victoria. One of these is Forest Edge in Neerim East, that is host to the Forest Edge Music Festival. Whilst our Christian faith is at the core of what we do, CYC Ministries camps and events extend to children and youth from a diverse range of backgrounds and aim to provide exciting, fun and positive experiences for all the young people we encounter.

CYC Ministries have an office located at the Phillip Island Adventure Resort and currently have a full-time staff of six people, to support approximately 250 volunteers in the running of the ministry.

Christian Youth Camps Ministries is a part of Christian Youth Camps Ltd (CYC), a ministry of the Christian Community Churches of Victoria.

Our Mission
Christian Youth Camps Limited (CYC) seeks, through camping, conferencing, facilities and programs to create opportunities for all involved to personally experience Christian life and values.

Through its multiple facilities in Victoria, CYC Ltd aims to meet this mission in the Christian hospitality shown to all guests, and also through the Holiday Camps, Leadership Development Programs and Events run by CYC Ministries.

We Believe
The main tenets of our faith are summed up in CYC’s statement of faith, as set out below.

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the infallible and authoritative word of God;
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit;
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in his virgin birth, in his sinless life, in his vicarious and atoning death through his shed blood, in his bodily resurrection, in his ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in his personal return to power and glory;
  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful humanity regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential;
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life;
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved to eternal life in Christ, they that are lost to eternal separation from Him;
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ.
