Leadership Weekends
CYC Ministries is all about making opportunities for ministry. Whether we’re running Holiday Camps, Melbourne based events or even a Music Festival, everything we do is intentional in it’s purpose and structure. Intertwined in all of this is our passion for developing great leaders in ministry.
We offer plenty of opportunities to be involved in Youth and Children’s Ministry at each of our campsites as part of our community of 200+ volunteer leaders responsible for running our Holiday Camps. In addition to this we have a large variety of opportunities to be involved in the running of the Forest Edge Music Festival.
If you want to be involved, we have some great opportunities through our Leadership Development Weekends, held each term. With a range of presenters, electives and also time to just get to know new people - the Leadership Development Weekends are really something to look forward to and the best opportunities to find out how to be involved.
The weekends include both theory and practical elements of Leadership, spiritual input through worship and keynote sessions, as well as a collection of elective workshops in different areas. There is also the chance to enjoy “being on camp” in a relaxed environment with others who share your passion for Leadership.
Our desire is to provide Leaders with training and development opportunities that not only assist them in becoming better Leaders on camp, but that challenge, inspire and equip them in day to day life. Although the weekends are designed mainly for our Leaders or others interested in Camp Leadership, the weekends are open to those who simply want to improve their Leadership in a broader context (such as at Youth Group) or who may be interested in Leadership, but aren’t sure.
