About Holiday Camps
CYC Holiday Camps are a week-long (usually 4, 5 or 6 nights) live-in “camp” held at one of the various CYC facilities in Victoria, Australia.
Most accommodation is modern and fully-ensuited, with rooms sleeping between 4 - 6 Campers. Each Cabin Group is supervised by a volunteer Cabin Leader, supported by the Camp Director and other support staff.
Our Holiday Camps are designed to build confidence, self-esteem and teamwork amongst the campers - as well as being fun! Although camp is an active environment, we try to provide a balanced program, so that “non-sporty” children have just as much fun as those who are. Children are well supervised and qualified first-aid personnel are on-site during all Holiday Camps.
Holiday Camps are held at the following locations:
CYC The Island
CYC The Island is situated right in the heart of Cowes. The campsite features beautifully landscaped grounds, a large swimming pool, recreation hall, and a wide range of activities. Located within walking distance of the tranquil bay beach, as well as many other attractions on Phillip Island, one of the great things about Holiday Camps at CYC The Island is that the whole of Phillip Island becomes the blank canvas for each new exciting camp program.
Forest Edge CYC
Located in Neerim East, Forest Edge is surrounded on three sides by State Forest, and has the La Trobe River as its boundary. The natural beauty of the campsite and surrounds is wonderful, and this is complemented through comfortable accommodation and a variety of activities and programs on offer.
Forest Edge has a long tradition of Holiday Camps, stretching back to the 1980’s. The Holiday Camps run at Forest Edge take advantage of the unique and beautiful surroundings. Although only a short drive from Melbourne, Forest Edge gives a real country camp experience.
Phillip Island Adventure Resort
Phillip Island Adventure Resort is situated on 80 beautiful acres right in the heart of Phillip Island, in close proximity to many local attractions and beaches. The Resort features large swimming pools, many adventure activities and two 4-acre lakes.
The majority of the CYC Holiday Camps run at the Resort are our Impact Primary Camps. These have been running at Phillip Island, following a long tradition previously as Lake Yellingbo camps.
Turbo Camps (Adanac CYC)
Turbo Camps are the newest addition to our Holiday Camps programs, being just a few years old. Located in the beautiful Yarra Valley, Adanac CYC is set on 13 acres of undulating parkland with pockets of natural bush, a two acre lake, tranquil views of the surrounding mountains… and it is all just an hour east of Melbourne’s CBD!
Turbo Camps are designed specifically (but not exclusively) for Campers from the Yarra Valley area. This unique community element of the camps, allows Campers to develop friendships within their own community that continue well beyond the dates of camp.
